Who’s Running for Local Office in 2026?

We are your neighbors—Saugerties residents, families, and small business owners—united by a common belief in community, fairness, and opportunity for all. The Saugerties Democratic Committee is dedicated to upholding core Democratic values right here at the local level.

Our focus is on making Saugerties the best it can be by supporting dedicated candidates, advocating for responsible governance that protects our environment, and ensuring our community remains vibrant and welcoming to all. We believe that by working together, we can build a local government that is accessible, responsive, and truly representative of the people it serves.

The SDC has openings for Committee Members and Associate Members in two of our 15 Election Districts. We hold monthly meetings to discuss local issues, plan events, and organize our efforts. Prospective members, interested neighbors, and anyone wanting to learn more are welcome to attend!

Democracy begins right here in Saugerties!
